New Phillip Securities Trading Account Application
To need to open a trading account
with Phillip Securities Pte Ltd, please fill up this form.
Deposit
To open a new trading account, an initial deposit of S$1000/-
is required. The deposit is refundable after three months,
pending no outstanding contra losses for trading done during
this period. There are no monthly subscription or usage charges
for a trading account.
Options
For convenience and leveraged trading, you can also opt to
open a custodian or margin financing account with us. The
S$1000/- deposit will be used to offset against your first
purchase trade. For custodian and margin financing information,
please contact our client service executives at 65311 555.
Account Processing
Upon receipt of your account opening form, we will print out
a copy and mail it to you for your signature together with
other relevant documents. If you wish to send back the form
to us, please enclose a copy of your bank statement/CPF statement
for our verification. However, you may choose to visit any
of our investor centres to
sign the form in the presence of our marketing officer.

To open an account, you will need to bring along
the following items:
1. Your Singapore Identity Card (NRIC) or your Permanent Resident
Card. If you do not belong to either of the two categories,
you will need to bring along your valid passport as documentary
proof.
2. If you have a CPF investment account number, you should
also write down the number if you want to use CPF to buy shares.
The CDP Linkage form is required by the Central Depository
Pte Ltd to link your securities trading account to your Global
Securities Account.
Non-Singapore Residents
For foreign investors, as according to SGX-ST Rules, investors
not residing in Singapore will need the endorsement of their
account opening forms by a Notary Public or Commissioner of
Oaths. The submission of their account opening forms should
be done together with the enclosure of a photocopy of their
valid passports, a declaration by the concerned Notary Public
or Commissioner of Oaths and as well as the mentioned deposit.
Approval
Once you receive the trading account number and password in
separate mailers, you will be able to access to the POEMS
internet trading platform immediately. Trading will only commence
after the linkage of the trading account is approved by CDP.
