Business Development Executive (Insurance Distribution)

We are in the General insurance industry seeking Business Development Executive.

Job Duties

1. Liaise with insurer on marketing activities, system support, training etc

2. Work with sales channels on marketing initiatives

3. Support Advisers in terms of operational and product enquiries

4. Identify and initiate necessary system enhancements in order to achieve operational efficiency

5. Identify, develop and grow new sales channels.

6. Conduct product/submission process briefing for newly licensed advisers

7. Vet Training and Marketing materials and prepare checklist for approval

8. Prepare sales kit like product quick comparison tools for advisers

9. Prepare Product Due Diligence form for approval of new products

10. Ensure that dept operations are in line with Regulatory, Compliance and Company policies.


  • Possess Diploma/ Degree or equivalent, preferably in Business/ Insurance studies.
  • Certification in General Insurance Certification:
  • Basic Concept & Principles of General Insurance (BCP)
  • Personal General Insurance (PGI)
  • Commercial General Insurance (ComGI),
  • Health Insurance (HI)
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in the Banking/ Insurance industries as a Product Specialist or Sales Channel.
  • Direct sales experience in banking/ investment and/or insurance products will be advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with pleasant personality
  • Good Analytical skills and business acumen
