Intern, Business Analyst (Equity Finance)

What You Will Be Working On:

The Equity Finance Department (SBL) allow the borrower who expects the price of a stock to fall to hold a short position for a longer duration while the lender who loans the stocks receives a lending fee from the borrower. As a Business Analyst Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with product user to gain understanding of the business and how we can utilise quantitative data to analyse and improve our team’s business processes to drive efficiency and enhance overall utilisation of shares. You will also assist with testing of our in-house system in test environment.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Engage key stakeholders to gather insights/feedback
  • Interview stakeholders, analyse existing horizontal business processes, and understand the strengths and inefficiencies of current processes.
  • Conduct market research about industry trends, the latest technological trends and strategies to support re-engineered processes across different business functions.
  • Redesign horizontal business processes to eliminate redundancies, streamline workflows, and enhance overall efficiency.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A strong interest in improving operational efficiency and a desire to gain experience in modernising systems/ business processes.
  • Ability to identify, isolate bugs and report issues
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records (process mapping).
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team.
