Intern, Business Analyst (Investment Solutions)

Role Overview:

Phillip Securities is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Business Analyst Intern to join our team for an exciting opportunity to streamline and improve internal operations. You will work closely with our teams to enhance efficiency, improve documentation, and brainstorm new services designed to appeal to young adults. This role is perfect for a proactive individual interested in operational efficiency, process improvement, and innovation in financial services.

What You Will Be Working On:
As a Business Analyst Intern, you will have the chance to make a significant impact on our business processes and service offerings. You’ll be involved in a variety of tasks that contribute to the optimization and modernization of our internal operations and client services.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Engage key stakeholders to gather insights/feedback
  • Interview stakeholders, analyse existing horizontal business processes, and understand the strengths and inefficiencies of current processes.
  • Conduct market research about industry trends, the latest technological trends and strategies to support re-engineered processes across different business functions.
  • Redesign horizontal business processes to eliminate redundancies, streamline workflows, and enhance overall efficiency.

Expected Deliverables:

  • Organize and Standardize Shared Folders: Assist in cleaning up and standardizing our internal shared folders to ensure easy access, consistency, and effective organization.
  • Enhance Process Documentation: Work on streamlining the initiation process for new services, creating standardized documents and workflows to improve speed and efficiency.
  • Innovate Service Ideas: Brainstorm new services targeted at young adults, leveraging research and insights to identify trends and gaps in the market.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • Passion for process improvement with an eye for streamlining workflows and reducing redundancies.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging stakeholders and gathering valuable insights.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to organize and document processes accurately.
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills, along with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, or similar process improvement methodologies is a plus.
