Lionel Wang

Lionel and I met 16 years ago in a wine appreciation class. While we did not become friends immediately, his easy-going affability allowed open conversations that free flowed tirelessly, and I always could chat with him on anything under the sky without feeling judged. Interestingly, he did not solicitate insurance sales from me until I initiated interest for essential policies that would cover my family’s basic needs, and he made that happen very efficiently. No hard sell, always what’s necessary. Lionel was also the steadfast family friend in need when my dad got admitted for a major heart episode. It was my first experience of a major hospitalisation claim and Lionel took care of it seamlessly, leaving me to focus on my dad’s recovery with full confidence. I am very happy to witness how he had progressed professionally over the years by remaining authentic, resourceful, and never resting on his laurels. He deserves many more successes to come.

I've known Lionel for a long time. We got to know each other as colleagues (twice in fact) and then became friends. He is my single point of contact for all things financial, you name it from my travel, car, house, protection, investment, medical, retirement.… basically all my personal insurance planning. More importantly he made effort to keep in touch with me through various touchpoint activities. Somehow you know that when you needed him he will always be around. A while ago, he helped to do my claim for my eye surgery and it’s all seamless. He is the epitome of a friend in need is a friend indeed!

We were university classmate back in Australia, he was a typical Asian student who study hard and aiming to quickly find a job right after graduation. I always think he works too hard and he used to describe to me that he works like a cow. Lionel gradually helped to take care of my family financial planning matters over the years, he does it professionally, not the usual insurance person sticky kind, that’s what I like about him. You will feel and know that he put effort to advise what is best for you. He himself always strive to be better, continuous improving himself in knowledge acquisition, he will make you feel that you are being served by one of the best adviser in town. His genuine and sincere personality makes it comfortable to talk to him openly sometimes about personal matters and when you really need a pair of ears to listen to.
