ABOUT ME

Teo Beng Huat (张明发) (B.Eng (Hons), MSc, MBA, AFP®) is a seasoned Remisier with 27 years of experience in the financial industry. He has been with Phillip Securities since 1999 and holds a Triple Licence as a Wealth Manager, Financial Advisory Consultant and Registered Representative (Phillip Nova). Beng Huat served as Vice President of The Society of Remisiers (Singapore) from 2017 to 2021 and was the Chairman of the Society’s Education Centre for a decade. He had also held the office bearer positions of Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer over the 16 years in the Exco of the The Society of Remisiers. He is also recognised as a Vanguard Remisier under the Remisier Development Program (RDP). Additionally, he had contributed to the Technical Analysts Society (Singapore) as Assistant Secretary. He was awarded the NatSteel Ltd Scholarship and gained experience across Engineering, Sales, Planning, and Corporate Development. Beyond his professional career, Beng Huat is deeply committed to community service. He has been a grassroots leader for 29 years and currently holds multiple leadership roles: • Chairman of the Active Ageing Committee • Member of the Citizens’ Consultative Committee • Secretary of the Racial & Religious Harmony Circle (Previously IRCC) • Secretary of the Community Development Welfare Fund Previously, he served as Chairman of the Youth Executive Committee for six years and was also a member of the Community Club Management Committee and member of the PAYM Central Youth Council. Beng Huat was a member of the Subject Committee for Singapore 21.
