Intern, Data Analyst (Phillip Nova)

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Data Intern to address business needs using data or analytics solutions. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with manipulating and managing data, communicating with stakeholders to understand operational needs, planning and executing data projects to address problem statements, as well as supporting efforts for automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand pain points and requirements.
• Propose data, automation or AI solutions for the business, including Tableau dashboards, ad hoc analyses, statistical modelling, automation workflows.
• Perform exploratory analysis to extract business insights.
• Design AI workflows to automate analytics and reporting processes.
• Ensure data integrity by testing and validating data thoroughly.
• Help the data team build a catalogue and document the data warehouse.

Requirements:

• Undergraduate majoring in Data Science / Statistics / Computer Science / Quantitative Finance / Business Analytics / Economics / other relevant majors.
• Proficient in Data Analysis and Modelling, with understanding of automation and AI implementation concepts.
• Detail-oriented, curious, and eager to learn; with strong analytical and communication skills, and a drive to thoroughly explore and understand data.
• (Optional) Familiar with visualisation/automation tools (e.g. Tableau, R / Python – matplotlib, Power Automate)
• (Optional) Prior experience in financial industry and/or data related roles.
