PhillipCapital pioneered the utilisation of online trading, and launched the POEMS trading platform in 1996. The marketing team’s mission is to communicate POEMS’ unique value proposition— using a High Touch and High Tech approach to empower traders. We aim to build lasting relationships with traders and investors while providing education, support, and resources through our dedicated team of 1,000 sales professionals and various other channels to enhance their trading experiences.

Roles and Responsibilities

Content Conceptualisation & Creation

  • Assist in brainstorming and developing social media content across various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
  • Produce engaging and on-brand content, including graphics, short-form videos, captions, and stories.
  • Support in planning and executing monthly content calendars.
  • Work with designers and videographers (if any) to ensure assets are aligned with campaign objectives.
  • Stay updated on social media trends, platform updates, memes, and relevant industry news.
  • Suggest timely content ideas that align with ongoing trends to increase organic reach and relevance.

Execution & Publishing

  • Bring social media ideas to life in various settings, from office-based content to on-site event coverage.
  • Schedule and publish content across multiple channels using social media management tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite)
  • Ensure timely posting, consistency in tone, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Assist in setting up paid social ads (if applicable), including audience targeting and creative uploads.

Performance Tracking & Analysis

  • Monitor social media metrics such as reach, engagement, video views, click-through rates, and follower growth.
  • Compile weekly or monthly performance reports with key insights and recommendations.
  • Identify trends, content formats, and topics that perform well and propose improvements.

Campaign Support

  • Contribute ideas for social-led campaigns, giveaways, UGC initiatives, and engagement-driven activations.
  • Support operational tasks such as coordination with partners, influencers, or internal teams.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Help organise content libraries, track asset versions, and maintain documentation.
  • Assist in competitor analysis and benchmarking.
  • Provide general support for marketing events, shoots, and ad-hoc tasks.

What We Are Looking For

We value the diverse skills and perspectives that each intern brings. While you may not need to meet every requirement fully, having some familiarity or budding expertise in the following areas will help you make the most of this opportunity and succeed with our team.

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Communications or a related field.
  • A strong interest in social media, content creation, digital marketing, and online community engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and eager to experiment with new ideas
  • Confident interacting with clients during offline/physical events
  • Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Familiarity with platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube — either as a creator or an active user.
  • Bonus if you can use tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or have experience filming/editing short-form videos.
