Intern, Trade & Settlement

About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Operations team. As a Trade & Settlement Intern, you will assist with daily processing and support tasks for Unit Trust (UT) and Variable Capital Company (VCC) products. You will gain hands-on experience in trade operations, product onboarding, and post-trade activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Onboarding Support
    • Assist in gathering product documents and setting up new Unit Trust and VCC products on internal systems.
    • Help ensure all information is accurate and compliant with internal policies.
  2. Trade Processing & Settlement
    • Support trade execution and settlement activities by verifying trade details and monitoring timelines.
    • Work closely with internal teams to resolve trade discrepancies and ensure smooth processing.
  3. Corporate Actions & Reconciliation
    • Help track and process corporate actions such as dividends and fund events.
    • Assist in reconciling trade data, NAVs, and positions.
  4. Learning & Development
    • Develop understanding of trade life cycles, fund operations, and regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in training sessions to build professional skills such as Robotic Process Automation using Uipath

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Degree or Diploma in Finance, Business, or related fields.
  • Strong attention to details and good organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Keen to learn about financial products and trade operations.
