Job Overview

Phillip Nova is seeking a dynamic and market-savvy Market Analyst (Equities) to join our growing team. The beginner role sits at the intersection of in-depth financial market knowledge, an understanding of the broad spectrum of asset classes offered by Phillip Nova, and the ability to translate market trends into actionable insights for clients and stakeholders.

This is a highly visible and public-facing role where the Analyst will support client engagement initiatives, construct tailored investment perspectives, and partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to design and execute go-to-market strategies. The ideal candidate is passionate about global financial markets, confident in presenting market views publicly, and capable of creating compelling market-related content across multiple platforms.

This is an entry-level role suitable for fresh graduates and early-career professionals with a strong interest in financial markets and equities research.

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Analysis

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of global equities, ETFs, indices, and related asset classes using both Fundamental and Technical analysis.
• Monitor macroeconomic developments, central bank policies, geopolitical events, and market-moving trends across global markets.
• Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly market commentaries focused on equities, ETFs, and broader financial markets.
• Generate actionable market insights and investment themes for internal stakeholders and clients.

Content Creation & Investor Education

• Curate timely market trend articles and educational content to raise investor awareness on market developments and new investment products.
• Support Phillip Nova’s branding and media profile through engaging and insightful market content.
• Work closely with the Marketing & Communications team to conceptualize and execute client acquisition and engagement activities.
• Support brand awareness, lead generation, and client retention through strategic market-focused communications.

Media Representation

• Represent Phillip Nova in Webinars, Seminars, Panel discussions, Media interviews and queries
• Deliver market outlook presentations confidently to retail and institutional audiences.

Job Requirements

• Diploma, Degree, or Master’s qualification with specialization in Finance, Economics, Banking, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of equities, ETFs, global financial markets, and multiple asset classes.
• Knowledge of both Fundamental and Technical analysis methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex market concepts for different audiences.
• Presentation and public-speaking skills are highly sought after.
• Pro-active individual with the ability to take initiative and contribute new ideas, particularly in enhancing the Company’s social media and digital presence.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of growth initiatives.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, TradingView, Reuters, or other financial market platforms is an advantage.
• Candidate would need to possess or be willing to obtain CMFAS (Capital Markets and Financial Advisory Services) Modules 1A, 2A, and M5, M6 and M6A
• Ability to leverage AI and digital tools responsibly to enhance research efficiency, content generation, workflow automation, and market monitoring.
• Exposure to tools such as ChatGPT, Bloomberg AI functionalities, Power BI, Python automation, or workflow automation platforms is advantageous.
