What You Will Be Working On
The IT Network Team keeps trading, wealth, and corporate platforms connected and running across our data centres and cloud environments. As an IT Network & Infrastructure Intern, you’ll work alongside network, server, and end-user support leads on real infrastructure — not simulations. You’ll get exposure to how a regulated financial institution runs, secures, and modernizes its network, from switch configs to cloud to a live data-centre relocation project.
In This Role, You Will
- Support day-to-day network infrastructure operations — monitoring, alert triage, and CMDB upkeep across our sites
- Get hands-on exposure to multi-vendor network environments (Cisco, FortiSwitch, Palo Alto) and config review practices
- Assist with server and cloud infrastructure support, including AWS environment walkthroughs and backup/DR concepts
- Contribute to a live infrastructure project — such as CMDB migration, DR/BCP synchronization, or our SGX Colo relocation
- Support MAS TRM compliance documentation, including topology diagrams and incident write-ups
- Rotate through ITFrontline end-user support — laptop/printer break-fix, onboarding/offboarding, and deskside assistance
- Get exposure to AI-assisted IT operations tooling used by the team for config review and vulnerability triage
What We Are Looking For
We value curiosity and a willingness to learn as much as prior experience. You don’t need to check every box below to thrive here:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Genuine interest in networking, systems, or cloud infrastructure — coursework or self-study (e.g. CCNA fundamentals) is a plus
- Inquisitive, detail-oriented, and comfortable following structured procedures
- Good verbal and written communication skills; comfortable liaising with different teams
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn hands-on in a live production environment
What You’ll Gain
Hands-on, resume-ready experience across enterprise networking, cloud infrastructure, regulatory compliance (MAS TRM), automation/AI-assisted operations, and IT service management — plus a completed project you can speak to in future interviews.
