SINGAPORE, 22 October 2026 – Phillip Securities Pte Ltd, a member of PhillipCapital, has been named joint winner of the Best Retail Broker Award at the Securities Investors Association (Singapore) (SIAS) Investors’ Choice Awards 2026. The award recognises the quality of service and information provided by brokerage firms to help retail investors make informed investment decisions.
The award was presented at the SIAS Investors’ Choice Awards 2026 ceremony held at Orchard Hotel Singapore’s Grand Ballroom, with Guest of Honour Mr Chee Hong Tat, Minister for National Development and Deputy Chairman of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, in attendance. Mr Luke Lim, Managing Director of Phillip Securities, received the award on behalf of the firm.
This recognition comes as Phillip Securities continues to make investing more accessible through its POEMS platforms, while maintaining personalised support for clients. In line with this vision, the firm launched zero-commissions and zero platform fee U.S. equities trading. For the local market, to complement SGX’s board lot size reduction across 11 higher-priced counters, Phillip Securities removed minimum commission for Cash Plus account to make it accessible for investors who trade in smaller amounts. These initiatives build on an approach that blends digital convenience with expert research and specialist guidance as investors’ needs evolve.
Mr Luke Lim, Managing Director of Phillip Securities, said: “We are grateful for this recognition and for the trust our clients continue to place in us. As technology changes the way people invest, we see an opportunity to make investing more accessible while staying close to our clients and understanding what matters to them. Bringing these together is at the heart of how we serve our clients, and we look forward to supporting them and the next generation of investors in the years ahead.”
Making investing more accessible
In May 2026, Phillip Securities introduced zero-commission trading for US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds through the POEMS Cash Plus Account. The offering eliminates brokerage commissions, platform fees, settlement costs and custody or inactivity charges for trading US Stocks and ETFs, with only standard U.S. regulatory trading fees applicable.
Phillip Securities introduced zero minimum commission for Cash Plus Account holders complementing SGX’s reduction in board lot sizes for selected higher-priced securities. In addition, from 5 October 2026, we introduced a flat S$10 brokerage fee for online trades through POEMS valued at S$3,500 or below under selected account types, supporting investors who wish to build their Singapore equity portfolios in smaller amounts.
By lowering transaction costs across both markets, these initiatives make it easier for investors to build diversified portfolios gradually while retaining access to research and trading tools. Every client is also assigned a dedicated Trading Representative, Dealing Team, or Investment Specialist who provides tailored service to navigate the market. This personalised support extends to the POEMS Mobile 3 app where investors can engage directly with market analysts through its community feature, giving clients another way to access expertise as they build their portfolios.
Keeping personalised support within reach
Alongside its digital platforms, Phillip Securities provides access to more than 1,000 Investment Specialists and 11 Investor Centres in Singapore, where clients can discuss their investment needs and seek assistance.
To help clients build on this guidance and deepen their understanding of the markets, Phillip Securities also offers research and investor education. Its quarterly Strategy and Stock Picks Market Outlook sessions provide opportunities to hear market perspectives and explore investment opportunities, complemented by research resources available through POEMS.
Together, these services support clients as they develop their investment knowledge and make decisions about their portfolios, extending the firm’s relationship with investors beyond trade execution.
The 2026 recognition follows Phillip Securities’ Best Retail Broker Award win in 2024 and earlier wins in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2019 and 2022.
