Database Security Engineer (In Partnership with IMDA)

Role Overview:

Lead the deployment, configuration, and integration of DAM tools. Manage system performance, optimize monitoring effectiveness, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards. Focus on continuous monitoring of database activities, managing alerts, investigating anomalies, and responding to security incidents. Provide regular reports and ensure that incidents are properly documented and addressed.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, configure, and integrate DAM tools with other security systems.
  • Continuously monitor database activities and manage alerts for suspicious activities.
  • Regularly review and analyze DAM logs, investigating anomalies and potential threats.
  • Respond to and manage database security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis.
  • Develop, enforce, and ensure compliance with database security policies and regulations.
  • Configure and optimize DAM policies, rules, and system performance.
  • Coordinate with database administrators and IT teams, and report on security status and incidents.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analyses of database systems.
  • Provide security training for staff and share knowledge of best practices and emerging trends.
  • Research, evaluate, and manage DAM tools and technologies, including upgrades and patches.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or a related IT field
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated and adaptable.
