Dealer (Global Markets Desk)

As a member of Global Markets Night Dealing team, you will report to the Dealing Manager and be responsible for trade execution for our clients and other related activities. Your role requires you to be aware and informed of the latest US, Canadian and European markets news, development and company announcements.

The candidate should be familiar with the US and European markets, and its workings. It will require you to work the US and/or European market trading sessions and will offer very good exposure to the largest stock exchanges in the world.  You will also be required to contribute and offer support to digital content provision which includes but not limited to, writing research reports and conducting webinars. You will also be actively involved in projects, process and platform/system enhancements.

You will need to be meticulous in trade executions and be not be camera-shy during presentations. Candidates with a flair for writing will be in good stead. Those who are familiar with algorithm order trading such a VWAP, TWAP, Iceberg, Dagger functions etc will have an advantage.

As you will be working in a close knit dealing team, the ability to work harmoniously with others is crucial and the candidate needs to be fairly independent.

Requirements:

  • Degree in any relevant discipline
  • Preferably with pass in the CMFAS module(s) 1A, 5, 6 and 6A
  • Basic knowledge in stocks and options analysis will be an advantage (Fundamental, Technical etc.)
  • Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable with reaching out to clients through various means (calls, social media, webinars or seminar presentation etc.)
  • Able and willing to work on night shifts or public holidays
  • Entry level candidates with keen interest in the financial markets are welcomed to apply as training will be provided
  • Applicants who are pursuing or have passed their CFA studies will be in good standing.
