Responsibilities:
- Draft, review and negotiate of key service agreements and other commercial agreements and documents with counterparties and vendors
- Provide legal support in new business initiatives and development of new products
- Work with business units to ensure compliance with audit requirements, controls and policies
- Review and establish policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate guidelines
- Provide regular updates to Business units on new regulatory developments and changes and to assess and advise on the impact to existing business models
- Conduct knowledge sharing session for employees on legal issues relevant to business unit
- Assist where relevant in conjunction with other support units in the implementation, ongoing review and updating of procedures and controls relating to global services products and the relevant business entities
- Participate in special projects as required
- Manage outside counsel as required
- Keep abreast of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Degree in Law / Legal (preferred)
- At least 3 years of working experience in legal or audit field, preferably with relevant exposure to financial industry of Singapore
- Excellent oral and written communication in English. Good proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage
- Ability to work independently on multiple on-going tasks
- Excellent people management skills with ability to collaborate with business units to develop practical solutions within regulatory constraints
- Knowledge and proficiency in basic coding, AI adoption, and/or RPA are preferred and advantageous
