Intelligent Automation Specialist

Job Overview:

The Intelligent Automation Specialist will sit in middle office and work alongside with Back Office, AI and Data teams to jointly own the reimagination and re-engineering of the processes shaping trading and wealth industry. Intelligent Automation Specialist is responsible for relooking at existing processes and designing and orchestrating AI driven and automated workflows to support operations. This role focuses on applying Agentic AI, prompt engineering, process redesigning, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to deliver practical, scalable improvements to business processes.

The position emphasises hands-on execution and experimentation, translating operational needs into intelligent, semi/fully autonomous workflows that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and increase operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Agentic AI & Prompt Engineered Workflows

  • Apply prompt engineering techniques to design, maintain and control AI Agents (behaviour, decision logic, task sequencing, and output quality within business processes).
  • Continuously refine prompts, guardrails, and agent instructions to ensure outputs are reliable, predictable, and aligned with business rules.
  • Support prototyping using low code and “vibe coding” approaches to test and improve agent workflows.

Process Redesign & Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

  • Analyse existing back office operational processes to identify inefficiencies, manual handoffs, and automation opportunities. Redesign processes to translate operational requirements into agent first or automation first designs by embedding AI agents and automation into workflows.
  • Design, build, and maintain RPA workflows for rule-based and repetitive office tasks using automation platforms.
  • Integrate RPA with agentic AI workflows to create end-to-end intelligent automation, combining automation with adaptive AI behaviour.

BackRoom Operations

  • Gain experience by actively participating in daily back office tasks, such as operations support and reporting, to better understand the nature of the work and develop automation solutions that enhance efficiency.
  • Work closely with office managers, operations teams, and leadership to identify priorities and align automation initiatives with business objectives.

Automation Influence and Awareness

  • Provide regular training on current automation tools, such as RPA and vibe coding, to support adoption in mid and back office teams.

Required Skills & Experience”

  • Understanding of Agentic AI concepts and prompt engineering, such as task decomposition, planning, execution, feedback loops, and toolusing agents.
  • Working knowledge of RPA technologies and automation lifecycle concepts.
  • Experience analysing and redesigning business or office processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing agent based or multistep AI workflows in business operations.
  • Exposure to enterprise automation or digital transformation initiatives.
