Intern, Business Analyst (CQ)

About CyberQuote

CyberQuote Pte Ltd is an ISO 27001-certified Singapore company with over 20 years of experience across Southeast Asia, operating at the intersection of financial education, technology, and cybersecurity. We deliver IBF-accredited financial training and CPD/CEP courses (including programmes developed with the Singapore Exchange), alongside cybersecurity solutions such as vulnerability assessments and threat prevention services. Our mission is to empower individuals and organisations with practical knowledge, professional skills, and trusted solutions across finance, cybersecurity, and digital innovation.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Business Analyst Intern to join our team in Singapore. This internship offers hands-on exposure to real business problems across our financial education and cybersecurity service lines – from analysing course and client data, to supporting process improvements and helping shape decisions with clear, well-researched recommendations. A key focus of this role is helping drive AI initiatives on our Learning Management System (LMS) – identifying opportunities to apply AI to course delivery, learner engagement, and content development, and working with the team to bring these ideas to life. You will work closely with business analysts, product owners, and department leads, gaining a well-rounded introduction to how a growing regional company operates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, clean, and analyse business, sales, and operational data to support decision-making across departments.
  • Help identify, scope, and drive AI initiatives for our Learning Management System (LMS) – e.g. personalised learning paths, AI-assisted course recommendations, chatbots/virtual assistants, or automated content tagging and generation.
  • Support light coding/scripting work (e.g. Python, SQL) to prototype AI features, automate data pulls, or integrate tools with the LMS.
  • Assist in documenting current business processes and identifying opportunities for improvement or automation.
  • Support the preparation of business requirements documents (BRDs), process flows, and user stories for internal and AI-related projects.
  • Help build dashboards and reports (e.g. in Excel/Power BI) to track KPIs for courses, learner engagement, and service delivery.
  • Research emerging AI tools and trends in edtech/LMS platforms, and recommend how these could enhance the training and development of our courses.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings, taking notes and following up on action items.
  • Assist with testing and validating new tools, workflows, or system changes before rollout.
  • Prepare clear, well-organised presentations and summaries of findings for management review.

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma/Degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of coding/programming (e.g. Python, SQL, or JavaScript) – comfortable writing simple scripts, working with data, or prototyping small tools.
  • High interest in AI and its practical application to enhance the training and development of courses – curious about how AI can improve learner outcomes, not just interested in the theory.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and data accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI, LMS platforms, or AI/ML tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) is a plus.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive, self-driven mindset with the ability to take ownership of initiatives and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in financial services, cybersecurity, or the education/training industry is an advantage.
  • Able to commit to a full-time internship of 3–6 months.

What You’ll Gain

  • Real, hands-on project work – not just observation – with direct mentorship from experienced business analysts.
  • The opportunity to drive tangible AI initiatives on a live LMS, with visible impact on how our courses are delivered and experienced.
  • Exposure to both the financial education and cybersecurity sides of the business.
  • Practical experience with data analysis, coding/scripting, process documentation, and stakeholder management.
  • A collaborative, supportive team environment in a central Singapore office (Raffles Place/ Phillip Street area).
  • Internship allowance, with the possibility of a full-time offer for strong performers upon graduation.
