What You Will Be Working On:
Group Compliance Department (GC) provide advisory and guidance on legislative and regulatory requirements to all internal stakeholders. As a Compliance Analyst Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with AML/CFT team which is responsible for the regulated entities compliance to AML/CFT regulations and expectations. You will utilise both qualitative and quantitative data to analyse and improve our team’s processes to drive efficiency and enhance our AML/CFT compliance practices and standards to the next level.
In This Role, You Will:
- Review data and information and organise them to improve designated structure within AML/CFT practices that will better aid in management and supervisory oversight.
- Work closely with stakeholders within the department and other departments in understanding existing AML/CFT process and information.
- Receive thorough understanding of the AML/CFT Regulatory standards and requirements including existing controls and identify gaps.
- Have the opportunity to gain exposure to other Regulatory projects and reviews, subject to availability.
What We Are Looking For:

- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Data Analytics or a related field.
- A strong interest in gaining an understanding of the Regulatory environment and requirements in a financial institution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records (process mapping).
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Proficiency in use of advanced excel including macro, and others such as tableau is an added advantage.
