About the Opportunity
PhillipCapital is developing Fintech Marketplace Asia—a new initiative to connect innovative fintech vendors with Financial Institutions across the region. This platform aims to improve discovery, evaluation, and collaboration in the fintech ecosystem through curated vendor profiles, structured matching, and industry engagement tools such as our Pitch Hub.
We are seeking a highly motivated intern to support the early development of this initiative. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of fintech, strategy, data analysis, and digital platform design—ideal for someone who wants meaningful, portfolio-worthy experience in a real industry-building project.
What You Will Work On
Research & Ecosystem Mapping
- Analyse fintech categories, vendor capabilities, and market trends.
- Map Financial Institution needs, sourcing processes, and buying behaviour.
- Produce insight summaries to guide platform direction and prioritisation.
Data Structuring & Insight Development
- Clean, classify, and structure onboarding data from fintech vendors and FIs.
- Build dashboards or summaries to identify category gaps and high-potential areas.
- Enhance data quality and propose new fields to improve platform intelligence.
Platform & Onboarding Experience
- Support improvements to the onboarding flow for both vendors and FIs.
- Assist in testing and refining the web interface, forms, and user journeys.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to gather required information.
Pitch Hub & Engagement Support
- Help manage the scheduling and logistics of Pitch Hub showcase sessions.
- Prepare materials and summaries for internal stakeholders.
- Track engagement outcomes and propose improvements.
Governance & Documentation
- Assist in documenting processes, categories, and evaluation frameworks.
- Support development of early stage Neutral Governance and TVRM reference materials.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong interest in fintech, financial services, or digital platforms.
- Good analytical skills: comfortable with Excel/Sheets; basic data handling required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to summarise clearly.
- Self-driven, organised, and willing to explore ambiguous or undefined problems.
- Familiarity with no-code tools, simple web structures, or UX thinking is a plus.
- Students from Business, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields are welcome.
- Duration: 3–6 months (full-time preferred)
