Senior Dealer/ Assistant Manager (Global Markets Desk)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Dealer/Assistant Manager to join our Global Markets Dealing team, reporting to the Dealing Manager. The ideal candidate will be a proven market professional who combines strong trade execution skills with an active contribution to business growth, strategic approach to client engagement, marketing collaboration, and process/platform improvements — someone who can operate independently at a high level.

You will be responsible for accurate, efficient, and timely execution of client trades across multiple markets, while bringing a strong grasp of the US, European, Hong Kong, and broader Asian markets — market developments, economic news, corporate announcements, and the factors driving price action — to both clients and internal stakeholders.

You will contribute directly to business growth within Global Markets driving growth in trading volumes or AUC, as part of the team’s shared performance objectives. You’ll work closely with marketing on outreach campaigns, webinars, and content, and represent the firm externally through research commentary, client presentations, and market-related events.

You will also take ownership of projects, process improvements, and platform/system enhancements relevant to the dealing function — working closely with the Dealing Manager and other internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, propose solutions, and see them through to implementation. A key part of this is using AI, automation, and emerging technologies to modernize how the desk operates — from streamlining reporting and market monitoring to automating repetitive dealing or client-communication workflows. We’re looking for someone who can point to concrete examples of having used technology to improve trading processes, operational efficiency, or client engagement in a previous role.

A high level of accuracy, discipline, and attention to detail is essential in trade execution. Familiarity with algorithmic order execution strategies (VWAP, TWAP, Iceberg, Dagger) will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute equity trades efficiently and in compliance with internal guidelines and market regulations, across US, European, and Asian sessions.
  • Contribute to business growth within Global Markets — supporting client acquisition and retention, and helping grow trading volumes as part of the team’s objectives.
  • Monitor market movements, identify trading opportunities, and provide timely market insight to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail and institutional clients, and help identify new business opportunities.
  • Own and drive projects, process improvements, and platform/system enhancements for the dealing function, working with the Dealing Manager and other stakeholders through to implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to existing processes, and lead those initiatives from proposal through execution.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team on client outreach campaigns, webinars, and product promotions.
  • Generate trading ideas and market commentary for client distribution (newsletters, social media, client briefings).
  • Contribute to the firm’s brand presence through thought leadership and proactive client communication.

Requirements:

  • Degree in any relevant discipline
  • Preferably with pass in the CMFAS module(s) 1A, 5, 6 and 6A
  • Experience in stocks analysis will be an advantage (Fundamental, Technical etc.)
  • Outgoing personality with excellent leadership, teambuilding, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable with reaching out to clients through various means (calls, social media, webinars or seminar presentation etc.)
  • Able to work in both the day (Asian) and night shifts (US/Europe hours)
  • Applicants who are pursuing or have passed their CFA studies will be in good standing.
  • Night allowance provided where applicable
