HONG KONG, 21 NOVEMBER 2022 – Phillip Capital Management (HK) Ltd (“PCMHK”) launched and listed the first ETF of its kind in Hong Kong, the Phillip HK Newly Listed Equities Index ETF (“New Equities ETF”) (Ticker 2835.HK) on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (HKEX) today. The New Equities ETF tracks the Solactive Hong Kong Newly Listed Equities Index, co-designed and developed between Solactive and PCMHK, and will predominantly invest in Hong Kong-listed equities that have seen their Initial Public Offering within the last rolling 3 years. It is listed on HKEX at HK$10 per share, with 100 shares per board lot.
As the New Equities ETF’s constituent holdings contain a broad range of stocks ranging from pharmaceutical to communications companies, investors can gain exposure to up-and-coming large IPOs with high growth potential whilst diversifying risk at the same time with the a diverse list of constituents from all sectors. The Hong Kong IPO outlook is also set to improve as one of the largest recipients of Mainland Chinese companies’ primary and secondary listings, with COVID-19 regulations slated to be relaxed by the end of 2022.[1]
